If the two eclipses of 2023-2024 make the Texas Hill Country one of the luckiest locations on the planet, its luck is only temporary. The following ‘ring of fire’ annular solar eclipse will happen here in 217 years and the next total solar eclipse won’t occur until May 26, 2617. That’s 593 years away!!!

Adrienne Goff and I are hosting a weekend retreat on April 6–7 at a charming fairytale home in the Texas Hill Country. These 50 acres in Wimberley are located on powerful ley lines and known to be visited by native Americans who are called to experience its energy. The Power of Place:
According to renowned Earth Energy Expert, James Tyberonn, Wimberley falls into a triangulated region of the Texas hill country (between Austin, Llano, and San Antonio) that has a noticeably high spiritual vibration. Cultural norms and daily pressures can lead us into daily routines that may serve us in the short-term, but rarely lead us into true joy. I recently read a quote in Martha Beck’s latest book, “The Way of Integrity” that resonated with me – “If something’s not working, don’t do it harder” and expect a better outcome. We’re told if we just work “hard enough” we can accomplish all of our goals. But the real question is what are your TRUE goals? Not what society tells you that you need, but what really brings you to your happy place? When you break it down, it’s usually something pretty simple. Peace. Time with my family. Laughter. Feeling the sun on my face. What is it for you? The only way to find out is to get still, quiet the mind…and ask your heart.
2020 is already shaping up to be a year full of shake-up’s and surprises. It’s up to us to find our anchor point, stay grounded, and ride the waves of change. We can be the calm in the storm. And…we can be the lightning bolt! Different situations will call for different actions. We will need to be courageous, and vulnerable. Be true to your inner compass and you’ll always know what to do.

Let me give you a little back story here. For the past few years I have been receiving powerful messages, nudges and hard-to-ignore coincidences regarding Mary Magdalene. I have a deck of cards at home called Keepers of the Light. For the past year, almost every time I pull a card from here, it is this one:

I do have an inner call. It’s been there since I can remember, being reinforced more with every passing year. After becoming a Life Coach and a new mother, I heard a whisper in my ear that my company would be called “Soul-Hive” and my calling was crystalized: to bring seekers together and empower them, making the magical real, bridging the space between mystical and practical, and collectively raising the consciousness on this planet.
Since then, I’ve led retreats and workshops and had countless one on one sessions with seekers around the world. It’s all been delicious, and it’s all led me to this. An ongoing, in-person, divinely led, weekly series of Soul-Hive Sessions for women here in Austin.
I have decided there are just too many juicy topics to cover in one stand alone workshop or weekend retreat. And for me, the only meaningful way to do this is by creating a container for us to come together face to face, heart to heart, with inspiring, open-minded people. A place where we can be curious, get raw and go deep, building a hive of sorts, buzzing with new ideas and collective shifts that benefit all.
If you’ve worked with me before, you know that we never know just where we’ll end up once we get started. So I am creating a container, a continuum of curiosity, so that we can build each week to the next. There’s sooooo much to talk about. Each week we’ll have a new topic/exercise/situation to examine. Some might appeal more than others. That’s natural. Come and go as you see fit. The idea here is to let your inner compass be your guide.

Breath Work Meditation – deep healing on a cellular/soul level
We will meet in varying locations, typically in my home in the SW part of Austin or at the labyrinth at the Natural Gardener if it’s a topic that’s best suited outdoors. (You will receive a message with the location once you sign up.) Wherever we meet, a sacred space will be created where we can soak up the nourishing light around us.
As an introductory offer for the first 3 months (Jan-Mar 2019) each individual session is $33. Unlimited classes are $333 for this 3 month period. In April, rates will change to $50 per individual session/$150 per month. (Venmo is my preferred payment method: @bridgette-parent)

Have you ever heard of the Native American practice of Shante Ishta? It’s the single eye of the heart. The direct path to heart-brain harmony. With all the disconnection and disappointment currently in our society, it seemed an appropriate tool to learn in our latest Love and Kindness Circle.
It’s a fairly simple, and extremely powerful, 3 step process:
1. Feel deeply into your heart center. Put your hand over your heart and breathe your attention fully into this space.
2. Intentionally slow your breath to approximately 5 second inhales/exhales. Continue at that calming pace. This tells your body it is completely safe and allows your cells to start working at their optimum level.
3.) Focus on something you are grateful for, or deeply care about. Care, gratitude, compassion, appreciation.
The more you do this, it starts to change your body for the better. The effects last for 6 hours after you do Shante Ishta. And if you do this practice for 3 days straight, it actually starts to alter your cells.
This is only a brief description, but the next time you start feeling anxious or worried, I hope it gives you something to play with to bring you back to your highest self. This beautiful heart connection is our one shared reality.
